The ejectorPL team is a group of researchers from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice working on the ejector design for various applications. The main aim of our research is to help the customer by design the ejector shape with optimum efficiency. Therefore, the advanced tool called ejectorPL was developed to offer the best solution based on the computational fluid dynamics simulations. The fields of interest are mostly focused on the single-phase and two-phase ejectors for refrigeration applications with a special interest to the low-GWP refrigerants and natural fluids. The background of our work originates from the international cooperation devoted to the numerical investigation of the carbon dioxide (R744) two-phase ejector.
Research and development of the modern and efficient ejectors for natural fluids and low-GWP refrigerants using advanced numerical solutions.
The advanced tool called ejectorPL was developed to offer best solution based on the computational fluid dynamics simulations. This tool allows he ejector design process based on three approaches: the simplest homogeneous equilibrium model through the modified homogeneous relaxation and the most advanced mixture model to cover the whole envelope for two-phase flow coupled with the heat transfer in the ejector walls.
